Shri Rajiv Kumar Sharma,  as Director / Finance

Shri Rajiv Kumar Sharma assumed charge as Director (Finance) of Armoured Vehicles Nigam Limited (AVNL) on 23^rd February 2026. Prior to joining AVNL, he has served as an Additional General Manager (Internal Audit) at Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL), a Maharatna PSU under the Ministry of Heavy Industries. 

 

Shri Rajiv Kumar Sharma is a finance professional with over 30 years of rich and diverse experience in Corporate Finance, Internal Audit and Corporate Governance. He is an Associate Member of The Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICMAI) & The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI). He is also a Law graduate and holds a degree in MBA (Finance).

 

He began his professional career in 1995 as an Executive Trainee (ET) with BHEL and has served across Corporate, Regional Offices & Joint Venture of BHEL in diverse capacities. 

 

Over the span of his career, he has progressed through various portfolios including Accounting, Internal Audit, Budgeting, Joint Venture & Subsidiaries, Corporate & Secretarial Affairs etc. demonstrating his strong expertise in such fields. His extensive knowledge and vast experience in finance and corporate governance will further elevate AVNL’s financial management standards while upholding the highest standards of governance practice. Besides work, he is also an avid trekker, often leading teams on challenging expeditions.

Shri Satyabrata Mukherjee holds an MSc in Military Vehicle Technology from Cranfield University, MSc in Defence and Strategic Studies from University of Madras and B.E. in Mechanical Engineering from Jhadavpur University, West Bengal.

Shri Satyabrata Mukherjee is an experienced defence industry professional with a diverse background spanning manufacturing, quality control, R&D, HR, and project management. He has a proven expertise in leading complex defence system development, ensuring compliance, and optimizing manufacturing processes.

Shri Satyabrata Mukherjee has been recognized for promoting indigenous capabilities and managing international collaborations and has also been awarded 'Ayudh Bhushan' for defence production excellence.

Prior to joining AVNL as Director (Operations), Shri Satyabrata Mukherjee was holding the charge of Director (HR) in India Optel Ltd. (IOL), a DPSU under the Ministry of Defence (MoD)
